WHY PAY A PROFESSIONAL TRANSLATOR?
Translation is a combination of both science and art that cannot be imitated by a computer. Machines cannot yet understand the subtleties of language and its cultural nuances. As a translator I have spent my whole life studying language, culture, writing styles, tone, regional expressions and slang to advanced degree level. I only translate into my native language (English) as this gives me a greater range of skills, methods, writing styles and a vast array of vocabulary at my disposal, which I can draw upon as required for your individual project. Automated methods of translation do not currently have this capability.
At Avellana Translations I use the computer aided translation tools combined with hand translation. This combination ensures a greater degree of accuracy, and a higher quality end product. All documents are translated as requested. I then revise, or proof-read them and double check the translation. Ideally, I do this the next day. Leaving a gap between the translation and revision process means I can look at the document with fresh eyes and I am more likely to pick up on any errors. I then quality check your document again to ensure the highest degree of accuracy. I’ll then send you the translated document and I’m sure you’ll be really pleased with the final result. As a professional translator I adhere to a code of conduct, I have professional indemnity insurance, and I am an associate member of the Institute of Translation and Interpretation (ITI).
