I am very pleased to announce I have been awarded associate membership of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), the professional body governing translators and interpreters in the UK. This is the result of 3 years of hard work in the industry that I am so passionate about.
So what does this mean for you?
As well as demonstrating my experience and dedication to delivering quality, associate membership is a declaration of my commitment to a professional and ethical code of conduct as set out by the ITI. This includes behaviours such as honesty, integrity, only agreeing to take on work in areas in which I am competent, and maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality. It also demonstrates my ongoing commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
I would like to thank everyone who has helped me on my journey this far, professionally and personally. It has been both very challenging yet exciting at the same time. I would like to assure you all I am not going to drop anchor here. I love this industry and I have many more plans, adventures and research ideas in the pipeline.
